Cooking up a storm in College

School is well under way and I am thoroughly enjoying my program in Chef Training. I love learning all about food and having the chance to even cook and bake in our labs each week.

Every week, we are shown a demo, where our chef demonstrates the methods for a specific recipe. We are only given the ingredients for the recipe and so we have to watch closely and take detailed notes and then we have to make the recipe in our appropriate lab each week.

We have both a bake demo and lab, as well as a food demo and lab each week. It's really great cuz we get to keep all the food we make.
I ended up joining the fitness center at school. I had to start running again.... there's so much food in this program! lol

Look at you in your chef attire! Glad to hear that you are enjoying your work! Hey, this time its not for 300+ ppl. How do you feel about that?

You'll never guess what I found in a candom bag of my carpet decorations from camp... rock hard solid cookie squares in a bag for Carrots and Peanut... or as ppl so incorrectly used to say - Peanuts and Carrot.

I thought of us; of nights where I would head home to our little trailer. We were such a team. I miss those days and warm summer afternoons when you were so tired from a days work that sleep was so sweet.

I guess I'm still tired and working hard. Only this time, I don't get to go home to you :(. I'm doing somewhat better at explaining the context of my stories to ppl Stacey - I think that you would appreciate that.

Know that when Christmas Break rolls around (2 1/2 weeks for me - the same for you?) that we are due for a good chat. I am sure that you have a lot of new experiences to tell me about with your roommates, school and lots more.

Love you!
